Here are some scary facts that moms need to step back and consider.

• A whopping 84 percent admit they’ve let their appearance slide since becoming a mom and that taking care of their appearance has become more of a wish than a reality.
• The majority (66 percent) say guilt is one of the barriers to self care.

• 1/3 of moms believe that being a mother and being a woman actually conflict. Furthermore, one in four moms (23 percent) can’t remember the last time they did something that made them feel like a woman — while 42 percent report it was more than a month ago.

• Although 67 percent of moms would rather get their pre-baby body back than their pre-baby sex life, exercise opportunities are tough to come by. After shopping for themselves, exercise is the second most desired activity to pursue during coveted “me” time
• 66 percent admit they sometimes don’t have enough time to take a shower or bath
• Some 80 percent have gone weeks or months without a haircut (even though they felt they needed one

I must say this to begin with…. Shannon your patience is phenomenal! The way you handled every little question and recommendation was a big help to us and we really appreciate all of your help.

On another note, I absolutely love this site Sparkplugging! It is for stay at home parents, working parents, crafty parents, single parents even entrepreneurs and people who are not parents— I guess what I am really trying to say is that this is a site for everyone. What a great idea and the team that puts everything together couldn’t be more expert.

My first favorite mom blog is Charlotte with A Mom Who Loves Reviews. Oh yeah, by the way Charlotte congrats on your new page. I’m sure it feels great to have a place you can call your own.

I feel like the moment our blankie showed up on her doorstep and review was on her page with the sweetest comments. I love this picture of her little girl snuggled up to the blanket showing how much children really do want their very own blankie.

What I am wondering is how on earth did Kathy Lee Gifford get on a national network morning show? I mean if Regis couldn’t stand her what makes someone think the rest of America could stomach her aweful anectdotes and crude taste in commentary. Either she made a deal no one knows about or this is all a cruel joke to get Kathy to look like a clown while not having the slightest clue.

“Gifford, who clearly would not know a blog from a bog said, “There’s something that worries me about it (blogging)……”
