1. Are your personalized baby blankets intended to be used (and washed) on a regular basis?
Yes. Our baby blankets are made to stand the test of time. We know that your child may want to use their blankie as a cape, to build a fort, or have a tea party when they aren’t using it to take a nap. We also know how dirty children can get. With that in mind, we made sure that each of our personalized baby blankets are able to be used for any adventure — washed, cleaned, and ready to go for the next one.

2. Why are there character limits for each side of the blanket?
Depending on the baby blanket, you have 30 to 50 characters per side. The reason for this is that if you were to add more, all of what you wanted to say simply would not fit. If you are having trouble trying to say what you want within these limits, shoot us an email and we’ll be more than happy to help with suggestions. You can also see our suggestions page for some ideas.

3. Do your prices include all the personalization around the blanket?
Yes, all of our prices include personalization for your blankie.

Look — we’re here to make it as simple and easy as possible for you to be the thoughtful gift giver that you are.

So — order with confidence. You’re not going to be “nickeled and dimed” here.

4. Can someone help me figure out what to say on my blanket?
Of course! We offer helpful suggestions if you need some ideas. You can also email us or give us a call: 214.771.8184 We are more than happy to help.

5. Where can I find examples of what the blankets look like when they are done?
In our blanket gallery we have samples of all the different styles of baby blankets. Since there are so many blankie/thread color combinations, we might not have the specific blankie/thread color combination you were looking to see. However, we do try to let you see the various fonts and thread colors on the baby blankets so you can get a better idea of what you will be receiving.

6. Is there a way to combine shipping on multiple orders going to the same address?
Yes, there is! Currently, we don’t have it set up to where you can make two orders at the same time, so it will ask you to pay shipping twice, but when you receive your confirmation email; Hit the reply button to let us know that they are both going to the same place. We can put them both in the same package and get some the shipping refunded back to you.

7. Do you offer gift certificates?
We sure do. When ordering a gift certificate, you have two options:

8. Which baby blanket styles are the softest?
Each baby blanket that we offer is snuggably soft. When you are browsing through the blanket styles, you will see that each blankie has a softness rating out of 10 with the 10 being the absolute softest.

9. Do you put a receipt in the box that gets shipped out?
We do not. Consider your confirmation email your receipt. This way, if the blankie is shipping to the recipient, they won’t get a receipt with their gift.

10. Can I get a copy of an order I placed a while back?
You sure can. If you would like to get a copy of an order that you placed, you can email us the request and we’ll send you the copy.

11. Why don’t I see certain fonts or blanket styles that I saw last time?
Our blanket styles are always changing along with our text options. We like to give different varieties at all times. We may have a style that you are looking for in our Classics by Sonya section. You can always email us if there is a certain style you are curious about. If not, don’t worry. All of our blankets are guaranteed to be a hit with you and with baby.

12. The blanket I want says its not available… When will you get more in?
We try to keep a full stock of blankets at all times. Since this is not always the case, if you see a blanket that you are interested in and unsure if you would be able to receive it in time for your occasion, just shoot us an email and we’ll be happy to let you know.

13. Do baptism blankets have to be white or ivory?
They do not. White and ivory blankets are an old tradition, but we have made many baptism blankets that have been blue, pink, or even yellow.

14. I need a blanket delivered in 3 days — is that even possible?
Absolutely! We offer rush production and rush delivery. Upon check out, select rush production. It will give you two shipping options: priority or express mail. You will want to choose express mail for it to be overnighted. If you order on a Thursday, you could have your blanket by Saturday.

15. I received a blanket from y’all as a gift — but, there’s an error. What now?
We will gladly re-make the blankie for 50% of cost + shipping. We call it the “50%-Rule,” and it is our best resolution to try to make a bad situation into a positive for everyone. Please know that Sonya and FITB are not responsible for replacing any blanket at our expense unless we make an error on our end that results in the customer receiving something other than they ordered.

We understand it can be a tricky situation when you’ve received it as a gift. We recommend that 1.) if you feel comfortable doing so, contact the gift-giver who can in turn contact us about their options OR 2.) take advantage of our “50% Rule” where we will gladly fix the error and remake the blankie for you for 50% of the purchaser’s cost + shipping.

16. Why are your blankets sized the way they are? Is 30″ X 30″ large enough?
Here’s a little background on how we landed on the 30″ X 30″ personalized baby blanket being the one size that fits all.

Newborns
These little guys start out between 17″ to 23″ long…
They love to be swaddled — so the 30″ X 30″ Personalized Baby Blanket is the perfect fit.
Not too big, not too small — just right.

Infants & Toddlers
By the time your baby starts to discover he’s mobile,
be it via a crawl, the stumble step or a full gallop…
This satin-edged Baby Blanket becomes his buddy.

They are managable. They can be controlled.
They are game to be carried, dragged or act as a super hero cape.

Those 3 & Older
We did some research…
By age 3, these “little people” are growing like weeds.
They are likely ranging in height between 25″ – 39″…

Now, were talking heavy duty utility.
Blankies need to be soft enough to cuddle with;
Ragged enough to for them to know it’s their life long buddy…
Big enough to watch TV and eat breakfast with;
But, small enough to be able to take anywhere & everywhere.

17. What is a “Sew Cute?”
A “sew cute” is a cute little icon that you can add to your blanket. We have a number of different ones from crosses to sports to animals. These are added to the corners around the text of your baby blanket.

18. Who is Sonya Bebeblankee?
The real Miss Sonya was born in 1901. She was my wife’s Swedish Mormor (which translates into “mother’s mother”). Her loves were her family, baking, weaving and embroidery. When she wasn’t in her kitchen making a loaf of cardamon coffee cake or some pepakokor cookies, she was in her rocking chair embroidering one of her heirloom quality blankets for the newest baby in the family.

19. What is “Rush Production?” How much does it cost?
Rush production puts your order at the head of the line so to speak. Typically, it takes 5-8 days for us to get a blanket made and ready to be shipped out. If you choose rush production, it cuts that time down to 1-3 days. It costs $23 to have your order rushed. We also offer express mail which means that you can have your blanket overnighted to you.

20. How long will it take to get a personalized baby blanket from y’all?
The timing can vary. If you are in a rush, you can choose our rush production with express mail and have it in as little as 3 days. If you are in no hurry, you can choose normal production with our normal priority mail which can take up to two weeks. We always try to get every blanket out as soon as possible. If you need something super quick, send us an email to let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure you receive your blanket on time.
